Robins singing. Frogs croaking. Geese honking. That is what I heard when I opened the door this morning. I had another early work day and was leaving at 5:15am. The moon was bright and the light reflected off the water in the sloughs along side the road. The sky was clear and the stars were twinkling.Two rabbits hopped across the road and a porcupine waddled along the ditch. 8 deer jumped a barb wire fence; their eyes reflecting the light from my headlamps. I was the only person on the road at that early hour. It was great to see all the night creatures going about their business.
Rain showers started this evening making it smell very fresh outside. It is supposed to rain all night. I'm looking forward to an outside day tomorrow; rain or shine. My boats and rain gear are by the backdoor just in case.
