I watched the rear view mirror as I drove home. The dark storm clouds approached, swirling and darkening the sky. I stayed ahead of the impending rain. There was time to spare before I would get wet so I stopped to watch the horses in an open field. Spring babies are showing up all over including the pasture. There is one new colt in the herd. I saw it for the first time about a week ago but didn't have my camera. Today it was out again and I got my photo. So cute!
When I got home I had to tend to my rain water collection. As I
pumped out the collecting rain barrel, the wind came whipping around the
corner. Flower blossoms from a nearby tree showered down on my deck.
It wasn't long before the raindrops began falling.
The rain started falling and the robins started celebrating. They flew from tree to tree and then landed in the grass; tipping their heads, listening for worms.
The rain made the greens greener and the air smell fresh. There's nothing like rain water to make everything lush.
