No Rehearsal

I watched the sun rise through my kitchen window today.  What a beautiful sight.  The dark pink clouds caught my eye just as the sun was starting to come up.  It kept my attention until the colors faded out.

 As I watched, I wondered what life would deal out today.  One never knows what the hand will look like.  Will the day challenge you?  Will it force you to re-evaluate the direction you were taking? Will it knock you out of the rut you were in?

You could wake up in the morning, go about your business like you have done for 21 years and end up sent home early with a letter and a severance package.  

You could wake up in the morning, have breakfast, go to work, call home to make plans with a loved one and find out that your 'loved one' has your belongings packed and stacked at the door for pick up.

You never know what life will deal out.  There is no control over it.  You can only deal with it.  You can only change what YOU have control over.  Been there.

Acknowledge what's happened.  It happened and nothing is going to change that.  Wake up in the morning.  Watch the sunrise and take on the new day.  A new life chapter is about to begin and you get to write it.  You have control over how the story will turn out.  

Learn from the experience.  Don't let it drag you down and suck the life out of you.  Take it into consideration when planning your new path.  Breathe.  Think about the past but don't dwell on it.  Your experiences make you stronger.  Today you have the opportunity to do whatever you want to do and be whatever you want to be.  Make choices that make you happy. 

Live life.  You only have one of them.  There is no rehearsal.
