Not one, not two, but three moose were out and about today when I was driving home from work.  What a bunch of beauties!  They are such clumsy-looking, amazing animals.  I watched as two of them crossed the road and effortlessly stepped over a barbed wire fence.  Both reminded me of marionettes.

Feeding time at the 'zoo'?
When I pulled into my driveway, I noticed that all the feeders were empty which meant that there were some daytime visitors to the yard.  I poured a pail of grain into the tub and not 15 minutes later, the visitors returned.  I'm beginning to think that the deer watch for me from the bush behind the yard.

There is a trio of deer that show up regularly.  It's the same family that has a peanut-butter eating fawn.  It is so entertaining that I laugh out loud each time I watch it eating the sticky butter.

I still have not been able to get out to the trails.  I've lost track of how many days it has been since I've been out.  I'll have to try for Friday since that will be the only free day this weekend.  Saturday is road trip day to pick up my last piece of custom log furniture.  Hooray!  A new log table and chairs for Christmas.  Merry Christmas to me!
